Our suits are unstitched, so your tailor cuts them to your exact size. Use this guide to check that the fabric in a set is enough for the style you want, and to give your tailor the right measurements. All lengths are approximate and assume the usual 40–44 inch fabric width.
How much fabric each style needs

Each product page lists the top and bottom length in the set. Compare it with this table before ordering: for example, a 2.5 m top is enough for a knee-length kurta with full sleeves for most sizes.

How to measure (for your tailor)
- Bust: around the fullest part, tape level under the arms.
- Waist: around the narrowest part, usually just above the navel.
- Hip: around the fullest part of the hips, feet together.
- Shoulder: from one shoulder tip to the other across the back.
- Kurta length: from the highest point of the shoulder down to where you want the hem.
- Sleeve length: from the shoulder tip down to the wrist (full) or elbow (half).
- Bottom length: from the waist to the ankle.
Tip: give your tailor the measurements of a kurta that already fits you well. It is the most reliable way to get the same fit.
Before stitching
- Wash cotton fabric once in cold water before stitching: cotton can shrink a little.
- Ask for a lining for chanderi, silk, georgette and other sheer fabrics.
- Keep 1 inch of extra margin in the side seams so the kurta can be loosened later.

Most of our necklace sets have an adjustable back cord (dori), so one set fits most necklines. Earrings are for pierced ears unless the listing says otherwise.
